PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: A genuine refractory strip bandage that you impregnate with epoxy mixture to chemically weld mufflers and tailpipes. Permanently repairs holes and leaks in exhaust systems saving costly part replacement. Seals out poisonous fumes to temperatures of 500ºF. Can be molded into seams, cracks and small holes. Sets rock hard. Made of specially formulated hi-temperature material, resistant to high temperature corrosive exhaust gases.

- Full Bond: up to 24 hours (Or engine may be idled for 10 minutes so that the repair is cured by the exhaust heat.)
- Temperature Range: 500ºF
- Chemical Solvent Resistance: Automotive fluids such as gasoline, oil, road salt
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry environment in unopened container.
- Do not use or store product at temperatures below 30ºF.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Exhaust System should be cold before repair started. Always wear protective eyewear and gloves when working on exhaust system! Wire brush, sand or scrape loose dirt and rust from repair area. Area to be repaired should be moistened with wet rag or sponge.
REMOVAL METHODS:
Before Cure: Wipe with a damp cloth.
After Cure: Sand or carefully chip off.
HELPFUL HINTS: You can use the blister which the product was packaged as a tray if you don’t want to put bandage in pouch. Pour epoxy mixture into blister tray and soak bandage.
Below freezing is too cold for application of product as material in pouch will freeze @ 30 degrees F. # 3 on directions state that area of repair should be moistened with wet rag or sponge before repair, recommend temps well above freezing before repair begins (area of repair must be moist, not frozen prior to repair ).
Bandage must be thoroughly saturated or it will not cure properly.
