Crossrail Diesel Particulate Filter | NRMM Register
As part of the London Best Practice Guidance which affects NRMM (Non Road Mobile Machinery), it is a requirement that most machines operating in London are fitted with an emissions aftertreatment device such as a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Major developments such as the Crossrail Project fall into the high risk category for exhaust emissions and Agriemach have been on hand to assist the machine operators in retro-fitting suitable filtration systems in order to meet the requirement.
One DPF retro-fit was for a Crawler Crane operating at the Hanover Square ticket hall section. This new ticket hall will provide a new entrance to the station platforms under Mayfair at the corner of Hanover Square and Tenterden Street. Crossrail is currently undertaking excavation of the new ticket hall at Hanover Square and is also using the worksite as the primary facility to support the major tunnelling works to create the spaces for the new station platforms under Mayfair.
Our NRMM Energy Saving Trust approved Diesel Particulate filter was sized for this application with ease of retro-fit in mind. The system was designed, delivered and installed along with a full data logger and back pressure monitoring kit. The high efficiency of our Wall Flow Soot Filters not only captures almost all of the soot emitted from the engine, but with the benefit of an integrated Diesel Oxidation Catalyst it also reduces Carbon Monoxide emissions to an efficiency of 95% along with around 70% of Hydrocarbons.
We offer a complete service from Consultation and Design to full mechanical and electrical installation. We offer a completely bespoke design service and also have a vast amount of OE drawings already listed on our system, which makes retro-fit far easier when we already have a replacement drawing on file for production.
